This active influence has led to the publishing of technical guides such as DDC's "MIL-STD-1553 Designer's Guide", which has become an industry reference standard, and to DDC taking a leadership role within the SAE working group to invent methods to increase the bandwidth on MIL-STD-1553 bus by orders of magnitude. We support the extended life spans of our customers' data networking applications by ensuring generational compatibility within product updates and redesigns. DDC's ACE legacy, which began with the 1990's introduction of the four square inch Advanced Communication Engine (ACE), continues today with the Micro-ACE, the industry's smallest (.64 square inch) MIL-STD-1553 terminal. Continuing the goal of longevity, DDC's newest FC-AE-1553 products allow reusability of MIL-STD-1553 architecture and software while providing the benefits of Fibre Channel's high data rates, low latency and enormous network size capability.

DDC's ability to incorporate custom intellectual property and architectural design into our data networking solutions ensures customers that their design-in projects will continue to be supported well into the future. To provide comprehensive support, our board solutions include integrated software including menu, library (including source code), and driver software that supports all Microsoft, VxWorks, Linux and Green Hills Integrity operating systems. Software updates are available online for easy customer access.
