Continuum Power Management

Customers using Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products for the defense and aerospace industry are facing ever increasing pressures to design and integrate embedded computing systems more quickly, more inexpensively and with lower risk. The reuse of existing system platforms is one way to address this challenge; however, when today’s defense and aerospace high performance, embedded applications require faster processing, higher bandwidth I/O interconnects, and distributed switching architectures, legacy systems may not adequately address the increased power and thermal challenges inherent with the use of GHz-rate CPUs and High Speed Serial Interconnects.
