VITA is an incorporated, non-profit organization of vendors and users having a common market interest in real-time, modular embedded computing systems. Accredited as an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) developer and a submitter of Industry Trade Agreements to the IEC, the VITA Standards Organization provides its members with the ability to develop and to promote open technology standards.

PCI-SIG is the industry organization chartered to develop and manage the PCI standard. The RapidIO Trade Association, a non-profit corporation controlled by its members, directs the development and drives the adoption of the RapidIO architecture. The Trade Association brings together the right ecosystem to help developers build embedded systems using the RapidIO architecture. Developers will find that the RapidIO ecosystem offers a critical mass of products on the market today – including a wide assortment of end-points, which can minimize the amount of bridging required in a design.

OCP-IP is dedicated to proliferating a common standard for intellectual property (IP) core interfaces, or sockets, that facilitate "plug and play" System-on-Chip (SoC) design. Making complex SoC design more efficient for the widest audience, the industry strongly supports the Open Core Protocol as the universal complete socket standard, regardless of on chip architecture or which processor cores are featured.
