VXS-ENC-0011/12

The VXS-ENC-0011/12 rack mount chassis comes in a 4U height and supports a 5-slot VXS backplane. The VXS-ENC-0011 is equipped with a single star backplane with 4 VXS payload slots and 1 VXS switch slot. The VXS-ENC-0012 is equipped with a backplane with 3 VXS payload slots and 2 VME64x slots. The chassis complies to the IEEE 1101.10/.11 specifications with horizontal mounting for 6U x 160mm cards from the front and 6U x 80mm I/O cards from the rear to support Rear Transition Modules (RTMs).

The VXS-ENC-0011/12 has a 6U 500W power supply (occupies two reserved front card slots in chassis) and offers side to side airflow cooling. This chassis supports one or two additional power supplies; they can be integrated in the chassis by the factory or added by the customer. EMC compliance was addressed in the design of the VXS-ENC-0011/12 to enable it to meet the strict requirements of CE and FCC. Customers can use the VXS-ENC-0011/12 for their own system integration or we can integrate processing and recording boards into the VXS-ENC-0011/12 for a sub-system ready for application development.
