The VXS-ENC-0003 enclosure allows developers to get a complete VXS processing system solution from one source. This VXS enclosure offers an integrated 3 payload mesh and 2x VME64x slot backplane. The enclosure includes front to rear cooling fans to draw the air through the chassis with enough cooling for a fully loaded system of high-performance VXS boards, like the Phoenix VPF1. This tower enclosure is 4U x 17" Height x 13.53" Diameter which includes a rear card cage area for Rear Transition Modules up to 80mm.
VXS-BP-0003 Backplane
Each payload slot has two 4x fabric channels which individually connect to each of the other two payload slots. This results in a fully interconnected three-way mesh between the VXS payload cards. The remaining two slots are VME64x compliant with the VME64 bus across all five slots. This allows VXS (VITA 41) boards to be used along a large portfolio of VME boards from a range of suppliers.
