The VRAC3U family of chassis comes in a 3U height and can be used for development as well as used in deployed low-profile systems. This standard 6-slot chassis supports three standard backplanes: a VME64x (with a 2mm HM P0 connector), a VME64x (without a 2mm HM P0 connector), or a CompactPCI (cPCI) backplane. The chassis complies to the IEEE 1101.10/.11 specifications with horizontal mounting for6U x 160mm VME or cPCI cards from the front and 6U x 80mm I/O cards from the rear to support Rear Transition Modules (RTMs).
The VRAC3U has a pluggable 250W power supply and side to side airflow cooling. This chassis supports one additional power supply; it can be integrated in the chassis by the factory or added by the customer. EMC compliance was addressed in the design of the VRAC3U to enable it to meet the strict requirements of CE and FCC. Customers can use the VRAC3U for their own system integration or we can integrate processing and recording boards into the VRAC3U for a sub-system ready for application development.
