The XCLK1 is a high frequency clock generator PMC/XMC module that is able to provide up to six synchronized sample clocks for high speed I/O products such as analog to digital converters.
The clock sources can be up to 2 GHz. The XCLK1 offers a number of clock source options including an internal temperature compensated crystal oscillator or offboard source. The latter can be a direct RF or 10 MHz reference with onboard frequency multiplication. Frequency multiplication is achieved through low phase noise VCO/PLL circuitry (each frequency output is a build variant). Single-ended and differential clock outputs are supported.
The XCLK1 is an ideal clock source for multiple AD1500 or AD3000 analog input PMC/XMC modules and allows multiple ADC modules to be synchronized. Typical applications for the XCLK1 include SigInt, Spectral Analysis and Radar.
