MM-6495D VME/RACE++ 8GB SDRAM
8GB SDRAM VME Memory Buffer with Dual RACE++ - VME64 with dual RACE++ on P2
- Capacity: 1GB, 2GB, 4GB or 8GB
- Four independent RACE++ nodes
- Error Detection and Correction
- Simultaneous access to multiple ports
The MM-6495D is an 8GB SDRAM VME memory buffer with six RACE++ ports and a VME64 port for use in array processing applications with intensive data streaming requirements. The card can be placed at the front or rear end of a real time DSP system to buffer incoming and outgoing data. Individual compute nodes can then receive, process and transfer streaming data at will, which can greatly reduce total compute time for the DSP's and arbitration and overhead for the host, improving overall system performance. The MM-6495D has two RACE++ ports located on P2 and a VME64 port on P1. The card also has four RACE++ ports on the board. Each of these four ports has an individual memory bank with up to 2GB of SDRAM. Each memory bank can be accessed simultaneously, but only through its dedicated RACE++ port. This architecture provides that data from the two independent RACE++ ports on P2 and data from the VME64 port on P1 can be directly transmitted or received from any one of four "non-busy" memory banks to achieve an aggregate transfer rate of up to 612MB/s. The card is offered in a commercial, semi-ruggedized and a conduction-cooled variants. Please refer to the specification tab for exact details. Reliability is ensured by burn-in and running memory diagnostics that check operations while temperature-cycling the boards.
