SDRxL Streaming Data Recorder

The SDRxL is a turn-key streaming data recorder system consisting of a controller and storage subsystem. Serial FPDP streaming data arrives via the industry standard SL240 boards. The field-proven SL240 boards have been used in many modern radar and sonar systems. The ANSI/Vita 17.1-2003 standard was originated by the Curtiss-Wright Dayton group, the Serial FPDP experts. For demanding sensor-to-processor streaming data applications, a powerful record/playback system like the SDRxL is needed.

Features

  • Serial FPDP ANSI/Vita 17.1 input (standard)
  • Other inputs available-analog, video, etc.
  • Up to 4 channels recorded simultaneously
  • 760MB/s of total input data recording
  • Scalable Fibre Channel (FC) JBOD storage
  • Data Playback via Serial FPDP
  • Data Retrieval via Ethernet
  • Data Retrieval via Fibre Channel
  • Application Program Interface (API) utility
  • Graphical User Interface (GUI)

Unique Storage Control and Retrieval Access

The SDRxL streaming data recorder meets the demands of sensor-to-processor applications. The unique method of striping the streaming data across multiple FC disks allows uninterrupted recording. By-passing the file system provides total control over data storage. Because file system attributes are not embedded with the data, the user can access data at high speeds via FC from another computer- even if a different operating system is used. Data can also be retrieved via the Ethernet port.
