The VORTEX Front Panel Data Port (FPDP) Data Recording, Playback and Analysis Systems are members of Curtiss-Wright's targeted data recorder family. These recording and playback products provide robust, full featured recording solutions for popular standard I/O interfaces. The recorders have been fully developed, tested, and documented for fast-delivery and general use in the marketplace. All software is pre-loaded onto the hardware as executables. Thus, the customer does not incur software development costs.
This application of the VORTEX VME Data Recorder offers real-time permanent recording of high-speed data at sustained rates up to 385 MegaBytes per Second (MB/s) utilizing COTS components. The recording system consists of a VORTEX VME recording engine, asFPDP PMC Module, a Fibre Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) Interface, pre-loaded software and all cables needed for the Data Recording system to easily integrate into to high-performance data acquisition systems.
The FPDP recorder contains the following hardware and software:
