The SVME-E2108 VME offer a useful all-round I/O engine. The inputs are multiplexed to provide a high channel count at a competitive price. Accurate sampling rates can be achieved by the on-board timer device which also provides two 8-bit digital I/O ports. On board logic allows the selection of a variety of conversion trigger sources and sampling modes. External triggering is also available. Sampling modes could be one channel repeatedly or multiple channels repeatedly, the current channel can b e set at any time to enable versatile sampling order. Converted data is stored in a FIFO system and data retrieval is achieved by polling the flags within the FIFO for certain conditions. Interrupts can also be generated based on the condition of the FIFO flags. The SVME-E2108 has 8 additional channels of 12-bit analog output which have independently jumper configured voltage ranges. The I/O signals are individually jumper selectable to either the front panel connectors or the P2 connector.
