VPX3-215 Carrier Card
The VPX3-215 has been designed to handle both PMC and XMC mezzanine cards providing a host single board computer to easily expanded its IO capability. To provide the flexibility required in today's application environments, the VPX3-215 comes in two IO variants. The first provides a PMC/XMC site with 64 bits of IO mapped as 32 differential pairs, a XMC site with 12 differential pairs, and two x4 lane PCI Express ports which can also be configured as a single x8 lane port. The second variant provides a PMC/XMC site with 64 bits of IO mapped as 32 differential pairs, and four x4 lane PCI Express ports which are connected to the on board PCI Express switch which can be used to switch data between the ports. The VPX3-215 ExpressReach 3U VPX carrier card is a member of the 3U VPX line of embedded ruggedized products. Designed to integrate with CWCEC PCI mezzanine cards (PMCs), this fully ruggedized carrier card expands functionality of its host single board computer by providing the ability to expand IO capability without requiring additional SBCs as well as acting as a switch to switch data between up to 4 PCI Express ports.
